Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The Project consists of but not limited to: The Project consists of general renovation and construction for new kitchen facilities, including but not limited to the following: cutting and patching, selective demolition, reinforced concrete floor slab and loading dock, masonry, miscellaneous metals, miscellaneous interior carpentry, PVC membrane roof work, interior and exterior doors, interior finishes, quarry tile flooring and base, acoustical ceiling construction, miscellaneous accessories and associated plumbing and electrical work, and site work, and other work as described in the Contract Documents, or reasonably inferable therefrom. The City through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management is seeking bids for the renovation and improvement to an existing school commercial kitchen including new masonry wall openings to an exterior concrete pad for a new walk-in refrigeration box (by others); installation of an underground exterior grease interceptor, pump, sewer connections and associated site repairs. The construction project will include site-work, plumbing, electrical, and heating and ventilation. The City of Springfield, invites electronic bids from Prime Contractors and Filed Sub-Bidders through online. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category,;General Contractor. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below, and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder Update Statement. Estimated cost of the project is Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00). The Sub- Bidders will be required to pay State Prevailing Wages whenever applicable. This project is subject to the City Responsible Employer Ordinance. Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on March 20, 2023 for filed sub bidders and by close of business on March 29, 2023 for general bidders in order to be considered. The City of Springfield goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
