THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES AND A PURCHASE ORDER WILL NOT BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. This is a Sources Sought Announcement for repairs and maintenance on a Cummins 60kW Diesel Generator Set, Model QSB5-G3 NR3, which provides backup power for the Auxiliary Outlet Works at Tiber Dam. The Contractor shall provide experienced, qualified, and professional personnel to perform the work. Materials and supplies provided shall be a quality which will adequately and economically service the purpose for which they are required and be of at least equal quality and capacity of that being repaired and/or replaced. The work is located Tiber Dam, which is approximately 20 miles southwest of Chester, Liberty County, Montana. This announcement is being used for market research and advanced planning purposes. Proposals are not being requested and will not be accepted from this Sources Sought Notice. The Government is seeking interested small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, HubZone small businesses and/or service-disabled veteran owned small business concerns who have the specialized knowledge, experience and resources necessary to successfully the inspection and repairs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 811310 - Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $11.0 Million. If an interested small business concern believes they are qualified and able to perform the work required under this proposed requirement, please submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to successfully accomplish the various components of requirement outlined above. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought Notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a Request for Quote or ultimately award a purchase order, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will not be bound to this information if a Request for Quote is issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action, based on the responses to this notice, is at the discretion of the Government.
