The project consists of an elevator addition to the exterior of the main building, exterior siding upgrades on the north elevation and a storefront and guardrail replacement at the main entrance. Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid and shall be made unconditionally payable to Chester-Joplin-Inverness School. Successful bidders will be required to furnish approved performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract and to expressly covenant that if the bidder is awarded the contract the bidder will enter into a formal contract for the work within 20 days after the proposal is accepted by the Owner Each bidder will be expected to comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the State of Montana requirements if applicable including the withholding of the public contractor's gross receipts tax. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities, award the contract to the responsible Bidder whose bid is responsive and conforms with all material terms and conditions of the bidding documents and proposed Contract Documents, is lowest in price, and the bid which is determined to be in the best interest of the Owner, or to not award any proposals.
