Site work for a water / sewer project in Chester, Montana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Removal of the spillway gantry crane at Tiber Dam, including the complete removal of all crane components such as the crane frame, bridge, hoist, rail, and rail support beams and columns. All connections to concrete decks and piers shall be removed using methods that minimize damage to existing concrete, with all embedded anchors left flush with the concrete surface and all concrete left in place. All removed materials shall be loaded, hauled, and legally disposed of off site, with the option for the contractor to salvage materials at their discretion. After crane removal, the contractor shall install and remove government-furnished stoplogs in each of the three spillway gate bays, maintaining each stoplog set in place for one working day to allow operational testing of the radial gates. Only one full set of stoplogs is available and must be moved between bays, and all stoplogs shall be returned to the storage area near the spillway upon completion. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, subcontractors, materials, supplies, and equipment needed to plan, schedule, coordinate, and complete all services. Work shall commence within 10 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, be completed within 30 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed, and be performed Monday through Thursday between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, excluding nights, federal holidays, and Sundays. Work is permitted only between April 1 through June 1 and August 15 through November 1 unless otherwise approved.
