The Iowa Highway 44 Trail Extension project includes extending a 10' wide recreational trail along the north side of Iowa Highway 44 from the northwest corner of NW Brookside Drive to the Dallas Center-Grimes High School. The construction includes approximately 4,500 SY of 6" PCC trail pavement, 1,000 CY of class 10 excavation, clearing and grubbing, minor storm sewer improvements and adjustments, pavement markings, erosion control, and surface restoration. The project also has signal modifications that include APS pushbuttons and handhole relocations in the northeast, northwest, and southwest corners of the intersection at County Line Road for pedestrian crossings.
