Renovation of an educational facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Scope of Work for Learnng Center (LC): a. Remove existing roof system components down to the wood deck. b. Mechanically attach new average R-30 tapered polyisocyanurate insulation course at 1/8” per foot. c. Install ¼” thickness DensDeck Prime gypsum cover board using low rise foam insulation adhesive. d. Install new 60 mil TremPly KEE FB membrane using low odor urethane membrane adhesive. e. Furnish and install new pre-fabricated 24 ga. Kynar coated perimeter metal edge system to satisfy ANSI/SPRI ES-1 design pressure of up to 275 psf. f. Provide 30-year manufacturer’s warranty with proactive inspections at years 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, & 25. Scope of Work for West Godwin Elem (WGE): a. Perform diagnostic roof moisture survey to identify wet/defective insulation. b. Spot replace identified damaged/defective insulation components down to the existing structural gypsum decking to match existing roof system thickness and slope. Include 100 sqft in base bid. c. Remove all existing roof system flashings as necessary in preparation for new roof system components. d. Install ¼” thickness DensDeck Prime gypsum recovery board using low rise foam insulation adhesive over existing granulated modified bitumen roof membrane. e. Install new 60 mil TremPly KEE FB membrane using POWERply Endure BIO urethane membrane adhesive. f. Furnish and install new pre-fabricated 24 ga. Kynar coated perimeter metal edge system to satisfy ANSI/SPRI ES-1 design pressure of up to 275 psf. g. Provide 30-year manufacturer’s warranty with proactive inspections at years 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, & 25. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bid proposals, which they feel to be in their own best interest A Bid Security by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany each proposal. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Bid may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Successful Bidders may be required to furnish Surety Bonds as stated in the Project Specifications All proposals submitted shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) days after date of receiving bids. In the case where installation is specific; installation must be complete, and all installation costs must be included. The successful bidder shall, within a reasonable time after receipt of written notice, make good any defects in material or workmanship that may develop, especially during the warranty period GHPS shall not be responsible for any cost or expensed incurred by the bidder during the preparation of the bid. The Bidder further acknowledges that any person who is found to have submitted a false certification is responsible for a civil penalty of not more than $250,000.00 or 2 times the amount of the Contract or proposed Contract for which the false certification was made, whichever is greater, the cost of the Intermediate School District investigation, and reasonable attorney fees, in addition to the fine. Moreover, any person who submitted a false certification shall be ineligible to bid on an Invitation To Bid for three (3) years from the date it is determined that the person has submitted the false certification The owner is a federally constituted government body and as such is not subject to Michigan State or Federal excise taxes.
