Bowen Science Building - Replace Ahu For Spivey Auditorium If there are any questions, please contact UI Design & Contruction, Ed Scherrer, Project Manager - (319) 335-5500 Project Location: Work shall be performed under this Contract on the campus of the University of Iowa at the Bowen Science Building (BSB); 51 Newton Road, Iowa City, IA 52242. General Description of Work: 1) Project consists of replacing the fan, motor, cooling coils, and condensate pans on AHU S8 serving Spivey Auditorium. Specifically, work completed by this Project will include: i. Demolish existing fan and associated motor serving AHU S-8. ii. Demolish existing cooling coils, including chilled water piping, fittings, valves, and accessories as indicated on Drawings. iii. Demolish existing condensate drip pans associated with AHU S-8. iv. Demolish existing heating coils, including steam and condensate piping, fittings, valves, and accessories as indicated on Drawings. v. Demolish AHU S-8 fan motor starter as indicated on Drawings. vi. Demolish existing conduit and cables associated with fan motor serving AHU S-8 as indicated on Drawings. vii. Install Owner furnished fan with base and motor for AHU S-8 as indicated on Drawings. viii. Install Owner furnished 480V Variable Frequency Drive. ix. Furnish and install AHU S-8 feeder breaker for 480V Variable Frequency Drive including associated conduit and cables as indicated on Drawings. x. Furnish and install cooling coils on AHU S-8, including associated chilled water piping, fittings, valves, instrumentation, and specialties as indicated on Drawings. xi. Furnish and install stainless steel condensate drip pans as indicated on Drawings. xii. Furnish temporary post and relocate existing pipe support post as indicated on Drawings. xiii. Relocate small-bore piping, instrumentation, valves, and accessories as required to complete work. The certified Iowa TSB participation goal for this Project is 10 percent (10%) of the Base Bid.
