Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Elsipogtog First Nation, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,342-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The Elsipogtog First Nation (EFN) invites qualified Bidders to Tender for the supply of all labour, materials, equipment, and services required for the construction of the New Fire Station in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by the Consultant, RV Anderson Associates Limited 860 Main, Main Street, Suite 801, Moncton, NB E1C 1G2. Project Scope includes the construction of: a) The fire station is a 30m x 26m modern one-story building featuring all the latest state of the art spaces and amenities. b) The building exterior and facade design are inspired by the colours of the medicine wheel. The engraved canoe paddles in the precast cladding panels represent the essential relationship the First Nations have with the body of water. c) Interior features Wood ceiling panels and wall cladding are provided to visually connect the outside forest and nature with the interior of the building. d) The Fire Station building size is 662m2 (7,126 sq ft) Building Area and 775 m2 (8,342 sq ft.) Gross Area. e) Sufficient parking for all Fire Station staff, a separate public parking area for visitors and including 2 barrier free parking spaces. f) The site work includes garbage container slab, concrete curbing, sidewalks and asphalt paving, exterior post signage, flag poles, precast pavers, sod and trees. g) 2 bays, 3 overhead doors, to accommodate 4 fire trucks and equipment. h) Fire Chief's office, shower & washroom rooms, universal Washroom workshop, storage mezzanine, locker room apparatus area, gear bunker, laundry room, washrooms, dorm room, multipurpose room, dayroom/kitchen, and dining area and other ancillary room(s). i) Specialty Fire Hall equipment includes but not limited to hose reels, hose drying racks, electrical extension cord on reels, and gear lockers. (Laundry Dryer and extractor, kitchen appliance will not be included). j) Mechanical systems include in-slab heating system, roof top HVAC unit, split AC unit, EVR & exhaust, emergency air intake louvers, Big-ass fans and sprinklers. k) Provide and Install a standby diesel generator in the event of power failure. l) The Facility meets the latest edition of the National Fire Code. m) The New Fire Station Facility meets post disaster construction standards. n) All work as shown on the construction documents provided.
