The Kenosha County Ceremonial Courtroom was remodeled in the mid-1960's and again in the 1990's. These remodelings included the installation of a new HVAC system and a drop ceiling to hide the new HVAC ductwork. These efforts significantly damaged the original decorative plaster ceiling and skylights. This portion of the project, commonly referred to as Phase III & Phase IV, will restore the Ceremonial Courtroom back to its previous glory by replacing and reconfiguring the HVAC above the ceiling, major AV/IT upgrades, as well as, renovations and refinishings of the wainscoting, flooring, furnishings and Judge's chambers and back offices. Through many efforts, the County has reached the minimum threshold to undertake the project with an estimated completion date of mid 2026. Fundraising efforts will continue along the way to reduce County funding As of February 5, 2025, this project is included in the County's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
