The prime contractor for this work shall possess a valid State of California Contractor's License in the following category or categories: Class A/General Engineering Contractor. For all Bids greater than $25,000, Bidders shall submit a Bid security in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bid including all Bid Alternates. Bid security shall be submitted on or before the Bid due date, in accordance with Section 1.3 (Bid Security) of the Instructions to Bidders of this IFB. See Section 1.3 (Bid Security) of the Instructions to Bidders of this IFB. A pre-Bid Conference is not scheduled. The proposed project will consist of installing a debris separating baffle box (DSBB) or nutrient separating baffle box (NSBB) within the existing City storm drain pipeline located at the golf course along Embarcadero Road (Baylands Golf Links, 1875 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303). The storm system drains portions of the City of Palo Alto and Caltrans ROW, specifically Highway 101, and discharges to the San Francisco Bay. The City reserves the right to issue an addendum or addenda per Section 2 (Addenda) of the Instructions to Bidders of the IFB. This Project is not subject to prevailing wages and related requirements. Contractor is not required to pay prevailing wages and meet related requirements under the California Labor Code and California Code of Regulations in the performance and implementation of the Project if the contract. .
