Renovation of a multi-residential development in Kensington, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

General work description: The work to be done generally consists of installing 14 curb ramps at selected intersections in Kensington. Ancillary improvements include removal and replacement of existing concrete valley gutter and asphalt concrete, removal and installation of thermoplastic pavement markings and installation of two (2) solar powered rectangular rapid flashing beacons. You are required to subcontract a minimum of 22% of your bid in accordance with the Mandatory Subcontracting Minimum requirements within these special provisions. The said Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any portion of any bid and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. A non-refundable service charge for bid documents is required in the amount of $45.00 (sales tax included). Shipping charges are extra, depending on the delivery method. The Public Works Department does not guarantee the arrival of the plans and specifications in time for bidding. For more information about obtaining plans and specifications by mail, please call Blueprint Express at (707) 745-3593. You may obtain electronic PDF copies of the plans and specifications upon purchase of the bid package through the Online Planroom for no additional service charge. This project is to be advertised pursuant to Public Contract Code 22037. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. The Contractor must possess a valid Class A or Class C-8 License at the time the Contract is awarded. Prior to submitting a bid, the Contractor and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions under Labor Code section 1771.1. This contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.4.
