The City of Madison Traffic Engineering ("City") is soliciting Bids from qualified vendors for Pavement Marking Removal/Replacement on Milwaukee Street. Vendors submitting Bids ("Bidders") are required to read this Request for Bids ("RFB") in its entirety and follow the instructions contained herein. Questions Due Date: Monday, May 1st, 2023 Answers Posted Date: Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 Direct all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Services administrator : Brittany Garcia, Phone: 608-243-0529 bgarcia@cityofmadison.com The City of Madison, Traffic Engineering Division invites you to submit a bid for the removal and replacement of pavement markings on Milwaukee St between S Thompson Dr and Milky Way. The job involves removal of pavement markings on asphalt and concrete, resealing of the concrete where removal occurred and installing epoxy pavement markings. The pavement marking removal on concrete must be done using water or hydro-blasting methods. We expect the work to be done while maintaining 2-way traffic between 8:30 am - 4:00 pm on weekdays. This means you would be allowed to close all but one bi-directional lane of travel if/when necessary to complete work. Flaggers would be needed to direct the flow and direction of traffic. The work would need to be completed by July 1 st , 2023. Please see attached plans for details of work and estimated quantities.
