Owner reserves the right to reject Bidder if he cannot satisfy all of the Qualification Requirements, including those listed in the Technical Specifications. The Bidder shall perform not less than ten percent (10%) of the actual construction Work with staff employed directly by the Bidder. Project management shall NOT be included in this percentage. An Agreement of Surety certifying that the Surety Company is committed to provide the Bidder with a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Alter and extend the existing Building Management System (BMS) for control, monitoring, and alarming of the proposed HVAC equipment and systems as depicted on the drawings and as specified herein. 1. Existing pneumatic controls shall be removed in their entirety with exception to the Middle School boiler room: a. Replace the existing air compressor and air dryer b. Re-connect to existing pneumatic controls serving existing HVAC systems located beyond the bounds of the boiler room. Remove all other obsolete pneumatic controls serving equipment within the boiler room. 2. Portions of the existing building management system may remain in place to serve existing HVAC not replaced under the scope of this project. Where existing HVAC equipment is indicated to be replaced, provide new DDC controls, electronic valve and damper actuation, communication trunk, main network control panels, and all associated wiring, software, programming, graphics, and technical support. a. Prior to commencing demolition and removal of existing HVAC equipment, conduct a site survey with the Mechanical Contractor to identify existing controls which are intended to remain in place upon project completion. Label and mark all devices, wiring, and related components which are intended to remain. Remove all un-used or un-needed components; remove all obsolete components. Do not abandon unused control components or wiring in place. Remove obsolete wiring back to mains or local sources. Cut and terminate wiring that is buried in wall or ceiling construction that is not accessible for complete removal.
