Renovation of a municipal facility in Coaldale, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Site of the Work of this project is located in SE ¼ Section 26, Township 8, Range 18, West of the 4th Meridian, at Chin Reservoir. The Project is composed of 3 major components: The chute structure: This will include the construction of the earth-filled cofferdam, excavation for the new structure, installation of the underslab drainage system, construction of the new cast-inplace chute structure on a 3H:1V grade and construction of the cast-in-place stilling basin. The inlet canal: Chin Chute Inlet Canal will require realignment to the proposed location of the new Chin Chute. The new canal will be an open cut excavation that is 434 m long, has a bed width of 15 m and will have a 200 mm layer of gravel armour placed on the canal banks. The demolition of the existing chute and inlet canal: The portion of the existing Chin Chute above the reservoir water level at the time of construction will be removed. The portion below the reservoir water level will remain in place and a hazardous structure sign mounted to the top of the concrete.
