Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Hull, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Town of Hull is requesting Filed Sub-Bids for Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron for the Fort Revere Water Tower Rehabilitation project in Hull, MA. The scope of work includes but is not limited to installation of new site assembled steel stairs with ¼ steel diamond plate treads, risers, and landings installed on galvanized steel supports, and repairs to existing ornamental iron fencing at observation platforms for the Fort Revere Water Tower. There are two (2) Alternates for this filed sub-bid trade: Alternate #2: Installation of Vertical Steel Ladder in lieu of Steel Stairs Alternate #3: Installation of Decorative Site Fence Please note that all other filed sub-bid trades related to the Fort Revere Tower rehabilitation have been successfully bid, and only the Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron scope is being rebid. The General Contractor bid remains pending. Filed Sub-Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Sub-bidders Update Statement. All questions and requests for interpretations must be submitted in writing via e-mail to gina.naik@socotec.us Each filed sub-bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurers or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Hull in the amount of five percent (5%) of value of the bid. Bid deposits will be dealt with as provided in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 44B. Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does not represent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than three such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without further competition.
