All materials comply with American Iron and Steel requirements but are NOT subject to Build America Buy America Act requirements. Installing approximately 20,000 linear feet of 2, 4, 6 and 8 DR18 C900 PVC and Schedule 80 pipe and fittings Installing approximately 2,000 linear feet of temporary 2 HDPE bypass pipe Installing 32 gate valve assemblies in 2, 4, 6 and 8 sizes with cast iron valve covers Installing 8 fire hydrant assemblies with guard valves Installing two (2) master flow monitoring meter assemblies in contractor supplied 72 diameter concrete manholes Installing 86 service reconnections (saddle taps, corporation stops, piping, etc.) (46 by directional boring method under County roads, 40 by open cut method) Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Town of Cedaredge in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner. Project - 2022-002--CIV The entire construction or the various separately identifiable parts thereof required to be provided under the Contract Documents. Work includes and is the result of performing or providing all labor, services, and documentation necessary to produce such construction; furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into such construction; and may include related services such as testing, start-up, and commissioning, all as required by the Contract Documents. The engineer shall make all measurements, and determine all quantities and amounts of work done under the contract. At the time measurements are made for quantity determinations, the contractor or his authorized assistant shall be present to verify such measurements. From quantity figures so ascertained, it will be the contractor's responsibility to prepare a monthly periodical estimate of the work accomplished to date. This estimate shall be submitted to the engineer each month for his review and check not later than the date established at the pre-construction conference. The form of such monthly estimates to be subject to the approval of the engineer. Work covered in this Section includes clearing, grubbing, tree trimming, removing and disposing of all vegetation and debris within the limits of construction and such other areas as may be shown on the drawings or required by proposed construction, except such items designated to remain, or are to be removed according to other sections of these specifications. This work shall also include the preservation from injury or the defacement of all vegetation and objects to remain.
