Project Category Code: Paving (Highway, Road or Street), Street/Roadway Reconstruction , Sitework/Excavating and Grading, Excavation, DOT Projects, Paving (Asphalt or Concrete) Description: Reconstruction of approximately 2.5 miles of County Road 17, generally beginning at the intersection of Hiser Road and extending south to the cattleguard where the pavement ends. The project generally consists of construction of excavation and embankment on steep grades, utilizing excavated materials to flatten slopes, and accommodate safety improvements. This occurs primarily along the realigned segment of the existing Boxelder Road. Overall, the Project generally includes approximately: 200,000 CY of unclassified excavation, 20,000 tons of crushed base gravel, 10,000 tons of asphalt pavement, and several other appurtenant bid items. Site Directions: Located south of Interstate 25 between Douglas and Glenrock. Take exit 160 off I-25. Proceed to US-87 and turn left onto State Highway 90 / Boxelder Road. County ownership of Boxelder Road begins at the end of State maintenance 2.9 miles south of the intersection with US-87.
