he project scope includes a New Building Addition approximately 15,023 SF consisting of Entry & Lobby, Gymnasium with Ancillary Spaces, Administration Spaces, Prefabricated Canopies, Restrooms, New Glass Connector between two existing buildings, Dining Spaces (Alternate 1), new work includes but no limited to finishes, painting, ceilings, interior glazing, casework, roofing, mechanical, electrical, Structure primarily load-bearing CMU masonry, steel bar joists, and metal deck, new exterior materials include brick matching the existing, aluminum storefront, membrane roofing, and metal panels. Existing Building Renovations approximately 9,457 SF - Selective Demolition of existing spaces, renovation of existing Play Gym and Administration Area for larger Administration Area functions, renovated areas include interior light-gauge stud partitions, new ceilings, interior painting, new flooring, as well as mechanical, plumbing, and electrical/lighting work. Sitework - New paving/parking and walks, site grading, new storm drainage, and new and/or extended utilities. Trades to include but not limited to: Selective Demolition, Cast-In-Place Concrete, Concrete Tropical Treatments, Unit & Brick Veneer Masonry, Structural Steel Framing, Steel Joist Framing, Steel Decking, Metal Fabrications, Fixed Vertical Louvers, Misc. Rough Carpentry, Millwork, Quartz Countertops, Solid Surface Fabrications, Dampproofing, Thermal Insulation, Vapor Barriers, Metal Wall Panels, TPO Roofing, Firestopping, Fire Safing, Joint Sealants, Expansion Joint Systems, Interior Expansion Control Systems, D/F/H, Access Doors & Frames, Aluminum Framed Entrances & Storefronts, Glazing, Security Window Film, Drywall, Tiling, Acoustical Panel Ceilings, Wood Athletic Flooring, Resilient Base, Accessories, Resinous Flooring, Tile Carpeting, Painting, Visual Display Boards, Dimensional & Interior Signage, Phenolic Core Toilet Compartments, Cubicle Curtain & Track, Toilet Accessories, Fire Protection Specialties, Walkway Coverings, Flagpoles, Gymnasium Equipment, Interior Scoreboard, Telescoping Bleachers, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Communications, Fire Alarm, Erosion & Sedimentation Controls, Clearing & Grubbing, Earth Moving, Trenching & Backfilling, Asphalt Paving, Chain-Link Fences & Gates, Concrete Walks & Pavements, Finish Grading & Lawn Work, & Site Utilities. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the CONTRACTORS LICENSING ACT OF 1976, and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors - Chapter 0680 - 1. Bidders must obtain Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents from the Lewis Group Architects, 6512 Deane Hill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919, Telephone 865-584-5000. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidders Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. This Project is required to comply with Davis - Bacon wage rates. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price prior to the execution of the contract. Cocke County Schools reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the school system
