As of July 3, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The project generally consists of construction of stormwater inlets, piping, curbing, ADA ramps, milling and paving. The bids must be completed on the PennBid site and include a 5% Bid Bond made payable to Borough of Freeland including Suretys Consent by a firm licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania. Performance and Payment Bonds are required and the successful bidder is required to submit E-Verify form with the contract. The Work shall be substantially completed within 270 days from Notice to Proceed and project closeout must occur by June 1, 2024 due to ARPA funding agency requirements. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days following Bid opening. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or Bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid price, payable to Freeland Borough, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, shall promptly obtain the required Bonds and Insurance and shall prepare the required submittal documents and execute the Agreement. Freeland Borough reserves the right after opening Bids to reject any or all Bids, or to waive any informality or to award any portion of the project.
