The work under the proposed contract shall be completed as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All work is to be completed on or before November 24 th 2023.. The City of Council Bluffs reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and waive any irregularities in the interest of the City The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, a certificate of insurance and a certificate of equal employment opportunity and comply with minimum wage provisions as established by the U.S. Department of Labor Each bidder's proposal shall include a list of at least three (3) projects completed in the last five (5) years. These projects shall be similar in contract amount and scope of work to the proposed project. Scope of work for the proposed project includes the MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK listed above. Bidders shall also submit with their bid the phone numbers and the names of contact persons for each of the similar projects listed. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within 60 days after the bid opening. SCOPE OF WORK A. General Description of the Work: The work to be performed under these Contract Documents consists of construction of a vacuum pump station main connection to serve the next phase of the sanitary sewer collection system in the East Manawa area, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The following is a general description of the principal work elements of the project: 1. Remove fence and prepare pump station site for work. 2. Install interior building elements at an appropriate time during the construction process. 3. Site work include new vacuum force main piping and connection to existing structure. Includes reinstallation of fencing, seeding, and other work indicated on the drawings. 4. The vacuum main going into the vacuum tank will be extended to 5-feet outside of Building wall and temporarily plugged until the remaining main is constructed and ready for operation.
