Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Dublin, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project includes the development of stormwater infrastructure for a bioretention area for the neighboring property and connecting drainage pipes to improve both the quality of storm water effluent and slow the rate of discharge. The project also includes pedestrian improvements, curb gutter and sidewalk, asphalt trail and other features as shown in the Specifications, Special Provisions, Project Plans, and other Contract Documents entitled as shown above, now on file in the office of the City Engineer. All bidders must possess a valid class A California contractor's license and bids must include bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. For technical information or questions, contact Laurie Sucgang, at (925) 833-6630. The City may respond to such questions by addenda transmitted to all plan holders. The Project is more specifically defined in the Contract Documents, but generally includes: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and services necessary to perform the construction and installation of the following: an approximately 10,500 square foot bioretenion area, including approximately 750 linear feet of storm drain pipes with structures, and additional public improvements including curb, gutter, sidewalk, and asphalt trail improvements as shown in the Specifications, Special Provisions, Project Plans, and other Contract Documents entitled as shown above, now on file in the office of the Public Works Director, to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. Environmental testing of the bioretenion area has found that the project area contains arsenic, barium, and vanadium around the historical railroad embankment as a result of former railroad activities. The Project will remove approximately 6,300 cubic yards of soil which are suitable for disposal at a Class III landfill or for use in an industrial site. Trimming of native trees, and removal of some native and non-native trees, shrubs and vegetation will be required to prepare the project site for earth moving activities and installation of park components. New planting and landscaping will be included in the Project as well as new or modified gates and fencing. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available. The City's estimated total construction cost for this Project is between $2,700,000 and $2,900,000. The estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the bidders nor the contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimated cost range. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
