Period: One (1) Year From the Date of Execution With Option of Four (4) Additional One-year Terms. The Contract Shall Renew Automatically, Unless the City Gives Written Notice, Sixty (60) Days in Advance of the Expiration for Each of the Renewal Terms. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Performance and Payment Bond: The Contractor shall post a Performance and Payment Bond of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000). This bond is based on the maximum work in progress at any time. Liquidated Damages: $1,000 per calendar day after time for Final Completion of each Work Order has expired The Work under this Project consists of replacement and repair with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity of existing sanitary sewer items, water items and surface repairs including materials, equipment, and labor for the City of Portsmouth water and sewer system. Sanitary sewer items include but are not limited to Gravity Mains, Service Laterals, Service Cleanouts, Force Mains, Suction Mains, Manholes, Inspection Boxes, Force Main Air Vents, and Valve Assemblies. Similarly, water items include but are not limited to Water mains, Service Lines, Meter Boxes, Water Line Offsets, Valve Boxes, Blow Off Valves, Valve Assemblies, Water Sampling Stations, and Auto Flush and Fire Hydrants. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner.
