The Contractor shall perform all required work and shall provide and furnish all labor, supervision, materials, necessary tools, fuel, equipment, utility, traffic control and transportation services and all else required to complete the Annual Paving Services contract in accordance with the Contract Documents including any and all Addenda. Work shall be performed on various streets and City owned property within the City of Petersburg and will be for pavement overlay, pavement mill and overlay, and/or road reconstruction. Services required for each of these shall include one or more of the following: pavement milling, bituminous concrete overlay, underdrain installation, installation of paving fabrics, pavement marking, excavation, and placement and grading of aggregate. All work shall conform to the 2020 Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Road and Bridge Specifications, 2016 VDOT Road and Bridge Standards, and 2011 Virginia Work Area Protection Manual and all revisions Questions must be submitted in writing to the Procurement Office by 12 noon on June 23, 2023. An electronic message may be submitted to purchasing@petersburg-va.org The City reserves the right to extend the Contract for any reason for a period or periods up to but not to exceed 12 months. This extension may be exercised when the City determines that an extension of the Contract is advantageous to the City. The initial term or period of the contract shall be for a one (1) year (12 month) period with the effective date to be determined at time of award
