Site work and paving for a road / highway in Fairfax, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Fairfax is inviting licensed contractors to bid on the Flanders Road Grants-In-Aid Project: 1) Remove 8' of ledge and change the road grade per grade stakes as marked in the field; 2) raise road grade up with fill sand; 3) put down Mirafi fabric and establish 12" base of road gravel; 4) establish stoneline ditch on south side of road with check dams and a turnout half way down hill; 5) establish stonelined ditch on north side of road with check dams; and 6) remove high shoulder material on campground side of road. A portion of the gravel (480 yds) and sand (2,333 yds) for the project have been procured by the Town and will be made available to the successful contractor. The contractor will be responsible for procuring Mirafi fabric and rip rap. All work shall be conducted in accordance with the Grants in Aid Agreement #GA0308 and completed no later than September 15, 2023. The successful bidder shall be responsible for traffic control and available for State inspections as necessary. A Certificate of Liability Insurance, Holds-Harmless Certificate, W9, and a General Service agreement will be required of the selected contractor. Please submit pricing for the entire project based on the overall estimated quantity of material needed along with a unit price per ton.
