Renovation of a library in Lafayette, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
**As of October 16, 2023, the Project was awarded to Iron Fly Steel Fabrication but amount was not disclosed.** Reference Number 0000326307 Repair or replace the deteriorating emergency egress stairway attached to the east side of the library. This stairway is not a regularly used path into the building but is an emergency egress path. The stairway holds water during rain and snow in the pan which holds the concrete step, which is contributing to the deterioration of the stairway rusting through at the pans,. Our preference is to replace the stairway and/or pans with an all-metal stairway with expansion metal treads. For bidding purposes, we require a very basic shop drawing, to then be developed into a more robust shop drawing for the city planning and permitting department once the project is awarded.
