Replacing the existing York RTU HVAC System with a Split Heat Pump System (3 phase heat pump condenser, 3 phase indoor air handler and electric heat kit replacement). The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to solicit sealed bids from qualified contractors to replace the existing HVAC unit at the Warren County Youth Center. Work Location: Youth Center at 201 E 8th Street, Front Royal. The period of performance of the resultant firm fixed price contract will begin on the day of issuance of Notice to Proceed, and continuing, if not otherwise terminated in accordance with the terms and conditions of this IFB, for 150 days. The Independent Contractor shall supply all materials needed to install a new Split Heat Pump System, 3 phase heat pump condenser, 3 phase indoor air handler and electric heat kit replacement. The Independent Contractor will replace 2 refrigerant line sets from the roof down to the equipment. The Independent Contractor will need to make duct modifications to adapt the new HVAC equipment to the existing duct. The Independent Contractor will need to reconnect the existing disconnect box. The Independent Contractor will need to provide surge protection for the new unit. The Independent Contractor will need to connect low voltage wiring. The Independent Contractor will provide equipment drain. The Independent Contractor will reconnect to existing zoning system. The Independent Contractor will complete system start-up and inspection report. The Independent Contractor is responsible for crane rental. The County will require a warranty for the new HVAC equipment. The Independent Contractor is responsible for all necessary permits. The Independent Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals necessary to remove existing York RTU HVAC system.
