Renovation of a detention facility in Tillamook, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The following range is a Project estimate for bonding purposes: $150,000.00 to $300,000.00 This contract is for a public improvement subject to ors 279c.800 through 279c.870. Sole point of contact (spc) for this solicitation is jordan sim, senior construction contract specialist, at jordan.R.Sim@das.Oregon.Gov or by phone, 971-375-5154. The existing walk-in unit (to be demolished) is interior to the building with roof mounted condensers, and consists of a singular chiller section and a singular freezer section which are both separately controlled. The new walk-in unit configuration will consist of (2) separate chiller & freezer units, each separately controlled capable of running independently. Due to the remote location of the facility redundancy of such units is required. During construction, the facility kitchen will be fully operational. Due to the walk-ins being internal to the building and adjacent to the kitchen, and that this is a correctional facility, temporary separation walls are required to be constructed dividing the kitchen and work area. Access to the project area will be through a temporary opening at the exterior wall (facing the facility parking area). This will provide the contractor free access for construction (no security process) without disturbing the kitchen functionality. See project drawings for details regarding temporary access and separation walls. The contractor is required to provide a 200 s.f. minimum temporary refrigeration for both the chiller & freezer for the duration of the project. See project drawings for optional locations and temporary electrical connection direction The work performed under this Contract includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, permits, and services for and incidental to the completion of all construction Work in connection with the Project described in the Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, Attachment A - Specifications and Attachment B - Drawings. GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION The scope of the Project includes, but may not be limited to, the following: 1. Demolition of existing walk-in unit. 2. Configure and install new walk-in unit including two (2) separate chiller & freezer units. 3. Contractor provided temporary refrigeration for both the chiller and freezer during project.
