The City of Cannon Beach, Oregon, plans to construct a new 1.1-million-gallon prestressed concrete reservoir to provide a seismically resilient primary storage facility for its water utility. The new reservoir will be located east of the existing main reservoir, which will remain a backup for fire suppression storage. The existing access road to the existing reservoir will be used for the new reservoir. The new reservoir will have security fencing and a gravel surface surrounding the reservoir solely for maintenance vehicles. Other features of the new reservoir include an inlet valve vault, an outlet valve vault, and a drain and overflow. The drain and overflow will be directed to the existing drain for the existing reservoir. The selected contractor and all contractors performing work within the City are required to obtain a City business license prior to start of work. The Owner reserves the right to waive any bid irregularities or informalities. No bidder may withdraw or modify the bidder's bid after the hour set for the opening thereof until after the lapse of 30 days from the bid opening.
