Site work for a water / sewer project in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project described in this RFP is "phase 1" of a three-phase water resiliency plan. The City of Cannon Beach is currently pursuing Business Oregon loan funding for phases 2 & 3. The City of Cannon Beach intends to upgrade its community water reservoirs to mitigate potential consequences associated with earthquake and/or tsunami events. This capital project has been defined as "Water Resiliency - Seismic Valving", and project details are described in the RFP. Also included in this RFP are a preliminary engineering Scope of Services, and a list of desired qualification requirements for engineering firms. The City has three water storage reservoirs. The City may reject any proposal not in compliance with all prescribed solicitation procedures and requirements and other applicable law, and may reject any or all proposals in whole or in part when the cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The estimated value of this contract is $141,200. The estimated total project cost is $586,000. This work is anticipated to start on July 1, 2022, pending necessary approvals, forms, insurance and executed agreement. The estimated project duration is 11 months, with the work being broken down into the following phases: • Design: 2 months • Oregon Health Authority review: 2 months • Bid & Award: 2 months • Construction: 5 months.
