Site work and paving for a road / highway in Harvard, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a 18,000-square-foot road / highway.
The Police Station parking lot, located at 47 Ayer Road, Harvard MA is ~ 18,000 square feet with granite curbing around the perimeter. 1. Removal of existing HMA and any other unsuitable base materials (e.g., ledge) and add four to six (4 - 6) inches of compacted gravel with fine grading to maintain existing sloped granite curb reveal after placement of new HMA. 2. Adjust all structures to finish grade before placement of new HMA. 3. Reset existing sloped granite curbing as necessary, estimated at 50 (fifty) linear feet. 4. Machine paved HMA in two applications with a 2-inch binder and a 1 1/2 inch finish course with hand tamped edges and sealed seam at the street. Estimated quantity of 400 tons. 5. Line striping of parking lot to match exiting layout, including handicap van accessible parking space. 6. HMA bidding will be based on an AC base price of $700 and will follow an escalation/de-escalation of plus/minus 5% trigger point for adjustment.
