All proposed Work is located in Sitka, Alaska, as shown on vicinity map provided in the Plans. The Work included under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and other facilities necessary to successfully complete the Work set forth in the Contract Documents. It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to prepare his/her bid so that all Work shall conform to the intent of the Contract Documents. Work consists of the replacement of five (5) floatation tubs within Crescent Harbor float 4. The five (5) float tubs need to be removed and replaced beneath the existing structure. Four (4) float tubs are 48x120x16 and one (1) float tub is 48x120x12 approximately 4200 pounds of buoyancy each. The float tubs are fastened from the bottom using washer and lag bolts into the beam structure of the dock. Contractor shall follow industry standard OSHA safety requirements. Owner will provide to the Contractor the five (5) floatation tubs as well as any fasteners that cannot be re-used. Owner will dispose of the damaged floatation that are removed by Contractor. Once awarded the Contractor shall provide Owner with a work schedule and harbor stalls effected by work for approval.
