The Rankin County Board of Supervisors (LPA) intends to employ a consulting engineering firm to provide engineering services utilizing Cost-plus Fixed Fee, Labor Hour/Unit Price or Lump Sum/Firm Fixed Price contracts for the I-20 Connector Loop intersecting with US Hwy 80 and I-20 west of Brandon; the Loop will cross the KCS Meridian Speedway railroad at Greenfield Road and extend onward to the south side of Brandon. Projects include engineering services consisting of project and program management; capacity analyses; environmental studies; field survey; geotechnical investigations; hydraulic design; roadway design; bridge design; right of way maps & deeds; right of way appraisal, consultation, and acquisition services; and any other related services needed to successfully complete the Projects. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. DBE goal is 6% Upon selection, negotiation, and execution of the contracts, the County anticipates the duration of each contract to be approximately 5 years. The County reserves the right to select one (1) consultant or select a short list of consultants from whom more information will be required. The LPA reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, discontinue Contract execution, and/or request additional information with any party at any time prior to final Contract execution.
