Site work and paving for a road / highway in West Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Grable Road Improvements Project includes the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install a 19.0 mm asphalt overlay on Grable Road. Proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Township Engineer. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price, made payable to West Bethlehem Township. West Bethlehem Township reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals or any portion thereof. Attention of Bidders is called to the requirements concerning the payment of not less than the prevailing wage and salary rate provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 for the projects. Awarded bidder shall provide 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond and 15% Maintenance Bond for the project. Liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. Bids may be held by West Bethlehem Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the contract. The work which the Contractor is required to perform under this Contract shall be commenced at the time stipulated by the Owner and shall be fully completed within sixty (60) calendar days after Notice to Proceed Liquidation Damages: $500 / Calendar Day
