The RFP is an invitation to submit a proposal for the provision of Construction Management Services for Algoma University for the following sites: - 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga L4W 0A1 - 145 Queen Street East, Brampton L6X 1A6 The Successful Proponent shall meet the following RFP Objectives. - Secure a qualified and experienced construction manager to complete the two-tenant fit-out projects as described in this RFP; - Secure a construction manager who has the resources available to properly manage and deliver these projects on time, within budget and at the quality of the University's expectations; - Secure a construction manager who has relevant experience and understands the approach and methodology of the Project; - Identify the Proponent who provides the best value for money in the delivery of these projects; and - Secure a construction manager who understands and embraces a partnership relationship with the University and will act in the best interest of the University. The acceptance of the Successful Proponents Proposal and the subsequent award of the Contract contemplated by this RFP document is subject to Algoma University's internal approval processes and approval of external funding and/or budgets. The anticipated construction costs (excluding construction manager fixed fee) for these projects are as follows: 1. Creekbank Construction Cost = $ 7,500,000 CDN 2. 45 Queen Street Construction Cost = $ 6,000,000 CDN It should be noted that these are estimated costs at the time of this RFP, and it is the University's intent to deliver these projects below the costs identified. The University has made extensive efforts to control the design, level of finish and infrastructure upgrades of these projects, understanding these sites will not be a long-term asset for the University.
