The City of Arlington is requesting interested consulting firms submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for the preparation of Planning Studies for the Island Crossing Subarea Plan. Island Crossing is one of thirteen subareas identified in the City of Arlington. It is located adjacent to Interstate 5, at the junction of I-5 and State Route 530, exit 208. The subarea is approximately 87 acres in size, and currently consists of several gas station/convenience stores, restaurants, espresso stands and a Pilot Truck Stop, there are however several large parcels of land that exist in the subarea that present excellent development potential. The Island Crossing area is the initial gateway to Arlington, and the city desires to create an attractive, functional and commercially viable entryway from Interstate 5. SCOPE OF WORK The consultant's tasks will include creating a Subarea Plan that identifies a vision and long-term design for Island Crossing, creates Development Standards to guide both new and re-development of the area, identify infrastructure needs, and create a conceptual roadway design that address's access control, internal pedestrian/vehicle circulation and traffic throughput of State Route 530. High resolution graphics will be required for all elements of this work. Questions will be received until September 20, 2023 by no later than 4:00 PM. The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals that are not responsive to this SOQ request. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
