As of October 6, 2023, no bids were received. No definite date for the rebid. The purpose of this solicitation is to replace nine (9) nursing station windows in Buildings 1 and 2. Eastern State Hospital (ESH), an agency of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), for The Commonwealth of Virginia (The Commonwealth), is soliciting bids for window replacement and installation services. ESH is a secure facility; entry and movement are controlled to ensure the safety of staff and residents. Vendors must abide by all security rules and have valid state or federal identification. All questions must be submitted in writing through email to jeffrey.sturm@dbhds.virginia.gov and may be submitted until 10/2/2023 at 3:00 PM. Any questions received will be publicly answered via a new round in eVA and made available to any potential bidder. Eastern State Hospital (1773-2023) is celebrating its 250th year as the oldest public mental health hospital in the United States. The work will need to be scheduled through Brian Frost to avoid taking place during these events. Current blackout dates are after 4:30 PM on 10/10/2023 through 8:00 AM on 10/16/2023, but could change. The awarded bidder will need to schedule an appointment with Brian Frost at least TWO (2) business days in advance to both obtain measurements and perform the installation to minimize patient and business interruption.
