The Town of Hampton, NH requests sealed written bid proposals from qualified Federally and/or State licensed landfill or incinerator facilities to receive and dispose of municipal solid waste generated within the Town and delivered to the Town's transfer station by town residents, businesses, and curbside collection vehicles. The intent of the bid is to award the contract to a Provider to receive and dispose of municipal solid waste from the Town. All inquiries regarding the bid document, bid procedure, and any technical aspect may be directed to Jennifer Hale, PE - Public Works Director. All inquiries shall be in writing and submitted by mail or email to jhale@hamptonnh.gov. Inquiries submitted less than 48 hours prior to the bid opening will not be responded to. The duration of the contract will be from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026 The Town, acting through the Town Manager, reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals received, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, to waive any informality of the bid proposals received, to omit any item or items, to proceed or not to proceed with any subsequent interview process, and/or to accept any bid proposal and to negotiate without further process any contract as may be in the best interest of the Town. In the event that the Provider refuses delivery of municipal solid waste that meets the definition of Refuse at the Provider's disposal facility, the Provider shall pay the Town as liquidated damages the additional disposal fee paid by the Town at an alternate disposal facility plus the additional transport cost to and from the alternate disposal facility on the basis of $8.00 per mile.
