The City of Nome will receive sealed bids to perform siding repairs and re-painting of the exterior of the existing building known as NACTEC House. Interested persons may receive a bid package by contacting the City Clerk's office by phone at 907-443-6663 or by email at jjacobson@nomealaska.org. Interested Bidder's shall register with the City Clerk to ensure proper distribution of addenda. A valid email address must be provided. A five percent bid bond is required. Payment and performance bonds will also be required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified Bidder as determined by the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive irregularities in the proposals. The date of Substantial Completion shall be on, or before, August 15, 2024. Final Completion shall be achieved by September 1, 2024. Failure by the Contractor to meet the Substantial Completion dates will result in assessment of $500 per day in liquidated damages by the Owner The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids when such rejection is in the interest of Owner; to reject the bid of a bidder who has previously failed to perform properly, or complete on time, contracts of a similar nature; and to reject the bid of a bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Owner, in a position to perform the Contract. Provide all labor, equipment, and materials as necessary to perform repairs to siding and re-paint the exterior of the existing building.
