The extent of the work involved is the furnishing of materials that are generally described as follows: a. Secondary (600 volt class) electric distribution cable b. Primary (15 kV) electric distribution cable c. Pad mounted transformers (single and three phase, 15 kV class) d. Pad mounted switchgear (single and three phase, 15 kV class) e. Junction cabinets, handholes, and box pads f. Underground cable accessories g. Street light poles and luminaires The Proposal shall be made out on the form furnished by the Owner and obtained from P&E Engineering Co., and must be accompanied in a separate sealed envelope by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount of five per cent (5%) of the total value of the Proposal, and made payable to the Owner as a security that the bidder will enter into a contract for the Work within ten (10) days after the award of the contract to such bidder. If the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract with the Harlan Municipal Utilities for the Improvements, then the certified check or cashier's check deposited by the Contractor shall be cashed, or the bid bond declared forfeited, and proceeds retained by Harlan Municipal Utilities as agreed liquidated damages. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities. Published upon order of the Board of Trustees, Harlan Municipal Utilities, Harlan, Iowa.
