RFP-Professional Engineering Services for Design and Construction Administration of Nichols Blvd and Olympia Way Pavement. Construction services shall be considered optional at the time of execution of the initial contract as provided in the scope of work. Project Description 1. Olympia Way Ocean Beach Highway to 20th Ave repave project to improve pavement condition to extend life of this asset. The work to be performed by the consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for the proposed improvements proposed improvements including grind and inlay with concrete panel replacement, improved ADA accessibility at crossings, improved bike safety, upgrade signage, and evaluate the signal at Olympia Way and 22nd Avenue. Drainage improvements and other minor roadway improvements may be required. 2. Nichols Blvd Louisiana to Ocean Beach Highway repave project to improve pavement condition to extend life of this asset. This agreement will be for approximately 6 months in duration for the design phase with the option for the City of Longview to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Construction administration services are expected to be in duration of 12 months after the design phase is complete. Construction services shall be considered optional at the time of execution of the initial contract as provided in the scope of work. The City of Longview reserves the right to amend terms of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFP at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.
