The purpose of this RFP is to establish a contract with one (1) qualified Contractor to provide cost-effective, value added, sustainable support in the management and operations of the Cheyney University facilities in the areas of general maintenance and custodial services as described in this Request for Proposal (RFP). This section provides an overview of the engagement envisioned by this RFP. Interested Offerors should use this part of the RFP in its technical proposal. The University seeks to qualify an Offeror to provide facilities management of the University's physical plant, maintain all critical systems and equipment, and provide campus-wide custodial services, grounds maintenance, and snow removal services. This contract is critical to achieving goals in the University's Strategic Plan, to Advance Student Achievement and Success, as well as, to Manage and Secure Fiscal Resources and Facilities Needed to Enhance Institutional Effectiveness. Facilities maintenance and custodial staff play a key role in student success, retention, and recruitment. It is critical that the University's campus facilities are serviced by highly trained staff and to be able to achieve agreed upon levels and standards. Bids must be received by the purchasing agency on the Solicitation Due Date no later than the Solicitation Due Time as set forth in the solicitation. Any conflict between the dates and/or times contained in the solicitation itself or its attachments and this advertisement shall be resolved in favor of the solicitation. This procurement has SDB or VBE goals set.
