The bidder shall submit a project plan using the design standards below that is in compliance with all applicable HUD, EPA, and State of Illinois regulations as well as all local building and zoning codes. The plan must include a clear project timeline and budget with line item costs. The contractor shall act as the general contractor for the project using subcontractors as required. Subcontractors that will be required should be clearly identified in the project plan. Looking to have existing sewer camera from the house to the main before breaking ground on the new service. This project will require a licensed plumber to connect new 4" sewer line from the main to the home just on the outside of the slab using directional boring method. This project will require the location of the existing sewer at the main and disconnecting by approved method. A clean out must be installed with in 5' from the exterior wall. The new connection at the main and the disconnection will need to be inspected before covering. Clean backfill free of wood and other debris replaced in the excavation holes. The fill will need compacted in lifts, finished graded, and reseeded. Contractor will need to make any and all repairs done to the yards upon completion of the project. Plumbing permit required before work begins. The second part of this project will require cutting a section of concrete from curb to curb in the area of existing lateral. Remove the concrete from the road to determine the extent of the void. Once someone from the City has inspected the hole, begin back filling with CA-7 in lifts compacting between sections. Use CA-6 for the top 6" of fill Rock graded to the top of street elevation compact final lift even with the street. Making this a temporary patch until a later date for a larger street repair. Permit is required through Public Works before street work is started. Bidder Qualifications & Requirements 1. Bidders must be currently licensed with the Illinois Secretary of State, bonded, and insured. 2. Bidders must have or be able to obtain all applicable licenses and permits in addition to meeting all local, state, and federal requirements to perform requested work. 3. Bidders must have and provide proof of General Liability, Vehicle, and Workers Compensation Insurances and name the City of Rock Island as a Certificate Holder. 4. Bidders must own or be able to rent sufficient equipment to complete the work.
