Site work and paving for a road / highway in Boiling Spring Lakes, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of December 21, 2023, project was awarded to Coastline Contracting, Inc. in the total amount of $398,857.80.** The City of Boiling Spring Lakes proposes roadway improvements to twelve (12) City streets. The work generally includes but is not limited to pavement patching, pavement overlays and new pavement sections. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered Bituminous Pavement Mill Patch Mill off and dispose of a 2 thick strip of bituminous roadway surface course. Place 2thick S.9.5B Bituminous Surface Course in milled area. Joint between new and existing asphalt to be a butt joint with a flush surface to facilitate a smooth vehicle riding surface at joint. B. Stone Road Removal (Earthwork) Removal and disposal of stone road and underlying subgrade material to a total depth of 8and width of 18 Unit Price to include fine grading and compaction of road subgrade. Compact to 98% of maximum dry density, standard proctor (ASTM D698). Dispose all excavated material off site in a lawful manner. Excavated material to be wasted at the following locations: Charlotte Road, Orion Road, Van Buran Road and Jackson Road. See Road Location Plan at the end of Section 011000. Contractor is required to grade/spread excavated material evenly across waste site roads.
