PRE-QUALIFICATION PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS may be obtained from the project Architect either by phone (334-263-5162) or by email kcofer@sslarch.com. ONLY CONTRACTORS who have completed the prequalification process within the stated time limits, and which are properly licensed for this type of work in accordance with criteria established by the state Licensing Board for General Contractors under the Provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, will be considered for prequalification for the Work of this project. SCOPE OF WORK includes re-roofing the flat roof over a portion of the Fayette Campus Bevill Building as indicated in the Contract Documents dated January 19th, 2024. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to Bevill State Community College in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Bidders must submit with the proposal a letter from an Insurance Carrier approved by the State of Alabama as evidence of current insurability. Performance Bond valued at 100% of the contract amount and Payment Bond valued at 50% of the contract amount will be required at the signing of the Contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished using the forms included in the bid documents or available online from the Alabama Community College System website. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by Bevill State Community College; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. Bevill State Community College reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Bevill State Community College's judgement, the best interests of Bevill State Community College will thereby be promoted.
