Reference Number 0000336924 The City of Twentynine Palms (City) is seeking to retain the services of a qualified and experienced civil engineering consultant (Consultant) to provide the professional and technical services required to design complete Construction Plans and prepare Specifications and Engineer's Estimate (PS&E) for the City-Wide Channel Trail Project. The westerly trailhead for the project will be located adjacent to the Fortynine Palms Canyon Trail, and the easterly terminus will be Bagdad Highway (see Exhibit "B). The 6.9 miles of 12' wide X 5" thick PCC Class 1 bike path/pedestrian pathway will follow the flood channel through the middle of the City crossing multiple roadway segments. The trail will also include seating areas similar to the existing segment as shown in Exhibit "A". In addition to designing the new trail, the selected Consultant will assess the existing trail to ensure that it meets ADA compliance and incorporate any revisions in the design. Since the project crosses multiple roadway segments, Consultant will be responsible for ensuring bicycle and pedestrian safety at all potential conflict points.
