Sealed proposals addressed to the Town of Vivian for the construction of Wastewater Collection System Improvements (LCDBG Funded Project) in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. A cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bidder's Bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible total for the bid submitted including consideration of alternates, must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into a Contract and execute such bonds as may be required. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable in the Department of Treasury Circular No. 570 or that it is a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A - rating in the latest printing of the A. M. Best's Key Rating Guide. To bid and perform Work covered by these documents, the Contractor must be licensed under Classification IV -Municipal and Public Works Construction. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid, and to reject any and all bids. The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this Advertisement, that Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded equal opportunity to submit offers in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, national origin or disability in consideration for an award.
