The City of Champaign (City) invites your firm to submit a Letter of Interest to provide the City with professional engineering and architectural services for Rapid Response Engineering and Architectural Services. The City intends to use a qualification-based selection process for the procurement of these services (City of Champaign Administrative Policy 2.08). This selection is for three years of service, starting in 2024 and running through 2026. Services consist of "on-call" response to engineering and architectural issues related to the design and construction of development projects, facility projects, and public infrastructure within the City of Champaign. City facility projects will be developed for the City of Champaign Police Station, six Fire Stations, City Building, Public Works Center, and any other auxiliary facility in the City's portfolio. The architect will help develop projects for facility expansions, upgrades, maintenance and/or repair work required by the building code and/or recommended by the City staff and consultants. The proposed projects that the architect will manage will include maintenance and replacement of major facility components including MEP systems, building envelopes, and parking lots on recommended schedules. The general time frame to complete this work is from January 2024 through December 2026. All questions shall be directed to the above contact. Any answers to questions which may affect a firm's submission, containing information not generally available to the public, will be sent to all firms to whom a request for letter of interest has been sent. You should receive a notification letting you know whether or not your firm was selected for an interview within a month of the submittal deadline. From the interviewed firms, the City will select one firm. The selected firm will be required to satisfy the City's Equal Opportunity in Purchasing Ordinance (EOPO) requirements. Any firm not currently qualified may want to contact the City for our requirements. The consultant's cost to perform the work will not be considered as the City makes its selection, but will become an issue during negotiation of scope of work and development of a contract. The City will not schedule debriefing meetings with firms not selected for interviews. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
