Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Danville, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The last day for questions has been extended to 12:00 P.M. Friday March 1, 2024. Bonds: 5% Bid bond; 100% performance and payment bonds. Time of Completion: All work must be completed within 300 days from the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages: $350 dollars per calendar day. General work description: Construct sidewalk, curb & gutter, and concrete driveway entrances. Detailed work description: The project consists of regular excavation and grading to construct sidewalk along both sides of Arnett Boulevard between Third Avenue W/Wendell Scott Drive and Guilford Street (approximately 1900 feet). Curb & gutter and concrete driveway entrances shall be replaced at all locations. Arnett Boulevard shall be milled, repaved, and striped as to allow the addition of a new four (4) foot bike lane in both directions. New RRFB pedestrian push-button beacons and crosswalks are to be installed at two (2) intersections: Ingram Street and Guilford Street. An "Advance Warning Sign shall also be installed prior to Wendell Scott Drive.
