The scope of work includes construction of approximately 1,150 linear feet of gravity sewer in local roads, state roads, and cross country. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Town of Mansfield, issued by a responsible bank or trust company, is required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, in accordance with Section 00200, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, of the Contract Documents. In the event that the successful bidder refuses, fails or is otherwise unable to enter into a contract for the work with the Owner or is otherwise in default of its bid, the amount of such bid deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages on account of such default. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700, GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. The work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: i) Clearing and grubbing. ii) Sanitary sewer replacement and sewer bypass from approximate station 6+35 to approximate station 9+65. iii) Sanitary sewer extension from approximate station 9+65 to approximate station 18+10. iv) State road pavement restoration as depicted on plans or as permit requires (permit in process). v) Loam and seed and cross-country restoration.
