Sanborn Well Standby Generator. Estimated Cost: 100K Bid bonds shall be submitted electronically via Project. Bidders submitting the 5% Bid Deposit in the form of certified check, treasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company shall include the Bid Bond Affidavit form and ensure that these documents are received prior to the closing of the electronic bid. Cash will not be accepted. Liquidated Damages for Failure to Enter into Contract: The successful Bidder, upon their failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bonds required within ten days after they have received notice of the acceptance of their bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with their bid provided that the amount of the security which becomes the property of the Owner shall not, in any event, exceed the difference between their bid price and the bid price of the next lowest responsible Bidder. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all proposals if the Superintendent deems it to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.
